They are lost and need guidance of others to make sure their own choices are acceptable. Its also a sort of being accepted, people communicating with them on a somewhat personal level.

A lot of them aren't so much questions as statements veiled as questions. Ten paragraphs of their insight followed by a four word question, sometimes with ten links of 100 pages that you have to read first before answering.

cause people like to hear what others are thinking when they ask for help it does help and its good that they ask you can learn a lot from other people and that is good thats why
