my friend and i are having a discussion and he showed me this website http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com . it shows the bible and where it condradicts it's self and stuff like that. in Matthew 1 "1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." it's contradition is "'Knew her not till'
Many Christians believe that Mary was always a virgin, but these verses say that she and Joseph 'came together' after the birth of Jesus, their 'firstborn son.' "
I remember hearing that Jesus had siblings...is that true or not??

as a former christian i can tell u that i don't know any Christians that think Mary was always a virgin. whomever you heard that from is just an *** and doesn't know bout their own religion obviously. about the sibling thing I'm not positive but i think so because it makes sense: 1) Mary was fertile i.e Jesus 2) Mary and Joseph did have sex i.e. 'came together' 3) there was no effective form of birth control as we recognize today so it's very possible.
in all this it is important to take into cosideration the revisions of the bible as prince.ali85 said but that shouldn't make you disregard the bible totally.

You don't need a website to you this. This was predictable. Come on, it is a well-known fact and documented in history that no other book has probably been altered more than the Bible. So many different versions exist. The Bible that we see today is nothing like what the word of God was.
The church has done this for the last two thousand years to stay in power. Kings have altered the Bible to stay in power. There was some king (English I believe) who rewrote the Bible and published a new version because he wanted to be able to give a divorce and marry someone else.
I mean come one, if you seriously believe that the Bible is what it really was, then you are worse than a five year old kid who thinks that the tooth fairy is going to drop him some cash.
Since the Bible was written by humans, there are errors and contradictions in it just like how human thought has.
And now, you have the very proof, outlined in front of you.

tigranvp2001 said it correctly...James is Jesus' half-brother. James is thought to have also written the New Testament book of James sometime between 45 - 50 B.C.
If you look at Luke 8:19-21, there is an indication that Jesus had more half-brothers.
The important point is that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit. Both being told of this by God, Joseph and Mary continued to marry. Obviously they had children. How many...what were their names...what happened to Mary...all interesting, but not critical to the Gospel of Jesus.

While the New Testament never names any siblings to Christ, the accepted tradition has James as his brother (much like Mary Magdilane was supposed to be a prostitute, even though the never specifies her as one).
The Bible contradicts itself like crazy and this is a great site (also try www.thebricktestament.com).
By the way, this isn't the first virgin birth; Zoroastrianism, Egyptian mythology, Babylonian mythology, and Greek/Roman mythology did the virgin birth way before the christians came along. Look for other myth swapping!

He knew her not is a euphemism for sexual relations. Many Christians don't know their Bible very well, one Jesus' half brothers wrote an epistle, the book of James. See, Luke 8:19-21, for a passage about his family. There is no contradiction, what some Christians believe creates a contradiction. The problem with many Christians is they are ignorant of their faith, and ignorance is not bliss. I'm going to look up that site you cited. Thanks.

The names at least four of Jesus' brothers and mentions his sisters (so he at least had two). There is a good show on the family of Jesus. It airs sometimes on one of the Discover Channels and the International History Channel.
