Why can't gays have the same rights as man and woman and call thier union a 'gayrraige'? Why is it that always everyone else has to look at the things their way? Would it hurt fot gays to look at thing the other people's way for once for a change?

I feel gays should have the same rights to feel miserable as the rest of the married couples.

But seriously, it's because in our society (religiously speaking) it's wrong even when it shouldn't be.

( and don't listen to the guy above me )

I agree with Christine.......if you want to be gay, be gay. Doesn't mean the rest of us has to appreciate it or accept it. The human race would die out if everyone turned gay...it is not the natural order of things.....otherwise they wouldn't have to go thru so much trouble trying to create the same terms and conditions. Personally, I could care less......but don't expect things to be the same when it isn't possible. How are they going to have children to create a family? Adopt? Why....it isn't physically possible, so why are you trying to create normal out of what isn't ? Besides, if you believe in the word of God.....there's the answer.

**Sounds like Missusjonz is trying to foist her opinion onto the opinions opposite of her own.........I really don't believe anyone is hot and bothered by any of the statements regarding gays, it is just a personal feeling that each of us has and that is all. I actually have an in-law that has gone from being a man and heterosexual and decided to become a woman (surgically) and now is lesbian. You tell me if all are born gay?!

Because they are not a man and woman...duh
A marriage is between a man and woman. A man cannot have children with another man and so a woman structurally a marriage is suppose to produce children and continue the family and human race. How can we continue the human race is everyone becomes gay and goes against everything that is natural? Gays need to live together be together and that's it. Stop wanting the same rights as a man and woman when you are not.

First off, "gayrraige" is a stupid term. Second, they are people just like anyone else. They have feelings and emotions. Let them love who they want to love and marry who they want to marry. It is NOT the governments right to say who can marry who. They have no business being in the bedrooms of people like that and deciding who they can and cant marry.

Christine--I'd like to know how you think "everyone becomes gay" Because people are not MADE gay, they are BORN that way. Just like you were born straight, it could have been different and you come out gay.
Also, gay and lesbian couples can adopt. There is nothing wrong with that. Its "continuing the human race" as you put it, just not their exact genes. They are caring for a child already placed on this earth, just as if they had had that baby naturally.

Because the narrow minded christofacsists are in power and will not allow it. When they see the error of their ways the world will be better off!!

Things must be improving, Ralphy Reed could not even win the primary in GA for Lt. Gov. And non of the Christofacsist Exodus won in SC!! YAE! YEA!

For those that say it is sin and is a choice, PROVE IT!!!!!

Gay & lesbian people should be allowed to start families just like straight people. It should be their business and nobody else's.

It does no harm to me, a straight person, for 2 gay people in love to formalize their commitment. None! Their marriage in no way erodes the sacrament of marriage. I expect that I'll get married right on schedule, even if--GASP!--gay people do start (legally) getting married.

I think it is beautiful when 2 people--ANY 2 people--make that level of commitment to each other.

And for those of you who say it's "wrong," or "unnatural," or "immoral". . . you're entitled to that opinion. You're NOT (or you shouldn't be) allowed to foist that opinion off on others. If you'd just mind your own business, you wouldn't be getting yourself all hot and bothered about something that has ABSOLUTELY no affect on you or your sad little close-minded existence.
