Yes, our town has a citizens police academy. It's a 12 week (1 day per week) class where you learn everything about what the local cops do. The best part was getting to shoot the guns at the firing range (Both Ruegers and rifles) and driving the cars through the training obstacle course. I liked the smaller guns better, they were easier to control.

Yes and I have also fired a pistol a rifle a mark 19(fully automatic grenade launcher), the M-60. The 60mm mortar. The 81mm mortar. 50 calibur anti-aircraft gun. An AT-4, the smaw rocket laucher, the dragon rocket launcher, AK-47, and the M203 grenade laucher. Oh yeah and the fully automatic saw machine gun.

yes and I used to own 5 different guns, from a 30 / 30 to a 20 guage. Got my first one at 10 years old and was an awesome marksmen by the time I was 12 and yes I did go to a safety course before I was allowed to use them. But when my nephews got old enough, I gave them my guns. Pretty much had to anyway, they wouldn't stop begging me to give them my guns, and my 2 daughters wouldn't stop begging for me to get rid of them.

I sure did, an M-16A1, which is actually a weapon. I also fired an M-60 machine gun, now no longer in use. Light Anti-tank weapon (LAW), M-82 mortar. I was a 60 gunner for about 3 years.

Yeah, I just bought one. Springfield XD 9mm. I live in a bad neighboorhood, and my neighbors just had their house broken into. I have a three year old daughter. I feel sorry for the crackhead who tries to break into my house. They are gonna have 15 holes in their chest and one in their head.
BTW, I also bought a safe. It's a push button electronic safe, so I don't have to search for a key when I need to get my gun. It's anchored to the inside of my closet, so it's safely away from any curious little people.
