If your a teenager, you shouldn't be having sex in the first place. I suggest you tell your mother what is going on and go to find out to be sure..

Your symptoms might be side effects from the injection rather than pregnancy. Shortness of breath, chest pains and the 'lina nigra' line you mention are to do with late pregnancy, but to be completely sure, do a home pregnancy test.

If you're still not sure, or the pregnancy test fails, see a different doctor at you practise if at all possible. In all honesty, they shouldn't keep you waiting so long for potentially life changing test results. Usually, blood test results take three or four days, so perhaps you could change practises, if that is possible or practical.

I've never been on Depo, but a LOT of my friends/coworkers have. It can cause some bizarre side effects that last longer than you expected them to (I have a friend who had a NINE week period!!). I'd say skip your next shot, while still USING PROTECTION, and take a pregnancy test every week for at least three weeks. While you're at it, call your nearest Planned Parenthood office and get all the advice you can from them- they're not expensive, and they hear all kinds of issues from all kinds of women- their advice is usually pretty solid. I'm not saying you shouldn't trust your doctor, but his advice seems... er... very different from most of what I've heard before. It never hurts to seek a second opinion. Good luck!

First of all the depo shot is very bad for you. It causes a higher rate of miscarriages even if taken for just a short time. Try to get a home pregnancy test or keep calling your doctor. They should be able to get the results back the same day with just a urine sample so check that out.

I think that you are probably not pregnant. If it makes you fell better, take a pregnancy test from the pharmacy - EPT is a great one that detects early. If you are pregnant, then you should not take another shot. I really don't think you are pregnant, but to ease your mind, take a test.
