Wasn't it a pogo ball? I used to have one of those (but it was the 80's) and it always made blisters on the inside of my feet.

It is called a pogo ball . My brother,sisters, and I had one as children/teens it was a whole lot of fun.Ours was greenish yellow ball with purple ring.

There were several that looked like that ... one was called Pogo Ball and there was another one that (I think) was called BalZac. I can't remember but there were two guys in the commercial and one was really fat.
