I think it is the best film of all time. It was the highest grossing film in '94 and it was released in the theatre again in IMAX around the millennium. It won 2 OSCARS, 3 GOLDEN GLOBES, 2 grammys, and more awards and nominations. It's considered to be in 6 genres, and the story is magnificent. Lion King is just amazing. I considerate the best Disney film, best animated movie, and best story ever. The Lion King is definitely the greatest film of all time.

It's a wonderful film, but it's probably not even the greatest film in animation. Granted, I'm sure most would consider it in the top ten for animation, but I doubt it would make the top 100 for all films. There's simply too much competition. "Finding Nemo" and "Toy Story", not to mention the classics of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" and "Fantasia," would certainly give "The Lion King" a run for its money. And for greatest films of all... does it really compete with "The Godfather," "Citizen Kane," "Private Ryan," "The Shawshank Redemption" or "Once Upon A Time in the West?" I would say in conclusion that no single film made to date can claim to be the greatest film in the world.

Never! As far as animated films go, ‘The Jungle Book’ is the best. It does not have the computer generated perfection of ‘The Lion King’; however, it is far better. Take any aspect - the characters, the songs– ‘Lion king’ does not have the magic of ‘The Jungle Book’. Pumba and Timone are nothing when compared with Balu and Bhageera. Elton John’s songs are good, but they are not as lively or fascinating as ‘The bare necessities’ or ‘I wanna be like you.’ ‘The Lion King’ can never be the best film as long as the memory of ‘The Jungle Book’ is still there - and that memory will never fade.

Absolutely not. That title is currently held by any other movie besides Lion King or any Disney made film.(Disney distributes Studio Ghibli films and those can be considered greats) Boo to Disney and it's evil empire of animated crap! Boo I say!

The music for a start up is giant! The characters are loveable and it has a mixture of humour, drama or maybe a pair "scary" bits lol! Plus timone and pumba were given a wee spin off from it! And it has the astounding "Hakuna Matata" putting forward. it is going to alwayd be one in each and every of my all time accepted videos.
