low end priced ceiling tiles cost about 2.50 to 3.00 bucks apiece for the 2x4ft size= 8 square ft.so you need about 115 of them,12ft wall angles cost about 4 bucks each and you will need about 10 to 12 of them, main runners costs around 5.50 each ,you will need about25 of those, cross tees cost about 4 bucks each, you will need about 135 of them, now this is just a rough est. because different things come into play depending on width and shape of basement,is it all one opening, etc. etc. so add it all up and you come to about 1071.00 for the basic materials, you will also need some hanging wire and hooks, and some nails or screws so add another 29 bucks even out at a total of 1100.00 bucks if you do it yourself, if not add about 450 to 900 bucks for labor.

I would first be considering and restaurants in the area that have the seating available and might be able to provide a room or close for your event. As for the backyard, that sounds good. You have plenty of time to make it happen. You don't need a tent at all, but if there's not a nice shaded area, maybe provide a small one, some people get quite bothered by the sun. Given it's a casual reception I see no reason you couldn't have cheap table cloths, go get fabric from any fabric store. You can even use cheap plastic utensils and plates. It's all about you getting married and then having a good time, so don't get too caught up in the details of everything else. For example, no one cares if they have an embroidered napkin or dollar store napkin.
