Start out with pads if you just started your period for the first time, then go with tampons if you feel comfortable enough.

When you just start probably pads but once you get older you cannot live without a tampon

pads can be more uncomfortable, but tampons can be discomforting going in and as well as coming out. Also tampons can be dangerous to you, if it absorbes to fast, then it could cause toxicity and cause you to becoming ill. My advice is to stay with pads, unless you are bleeding heavily, as in using a pad every two hours.

pads for the beginning because for the first time you really should watch your flow. you need to know how heavy it is and stuff like that. the second time or so you can use tampons but only during the day because there is a risk of toxic shock syndrome.

Probably pads at first. Then gradually move on to tampons. That's just my opinion.
