When the attacking team are in the opponent's half they can only pass the ball forward to another player on the same side provided that there are a minimum of two opposing players between the receiving player and the goal line. The opposing goalkeeper is usually one but doesn't have to be it can be any two. If a player is standing in an offside position but the ball is not passed to him he can only be offside if he is interfering with play, such as distracting or unsighting the goalkeeper.
If the ball is passed backwards then the receiver cannot be offside but the passer may be if he is interfering with play as previously described. If a goal is scored by an offside player or when another player is deemed to be offside the goal will not count and an indirect free kick is awarded to the defending team to be taken from the spot where the offside player was standing at the time of the offence.
The only exception to this rule is when a penalty kick is taken. If the kicker decides not to shoot directly at the goal but, instead, decides to pass the ball forwards a member of his team may, once the ball has been played, enter the penalty area and strike the ball without being offside.
Also no player will be deemed offside if he receives the ball directly from a throw in.
This relates to real football, of course, (what the Americans call 'Soccer') since in their country football is a completely different game played with a strangly shaped ball that is thrown, not kicked. Perhaps it should be called handball!

Offside in football (soccer) is when a player from one team is behind the last player of the other team (excluding the goal keeper) and the ball is passed to him. When one team is attacking to receive the ball in an onside position you must have at least two players including the goalie between you and the goal line. I hope this helps. because the ahead on your crew's offense, there might want to be one defender even or between you and the opposing purpose keeper even as the ball is kicked to you or interior the direction of the purpose able that you may want to make a run on it. or think about some your adult adult males putting out with the purpose keeper waiting on your defenders to kick the ball as subsequently of the field. The defenders will typically play what's termed an offside capture, they form a line and bypass the different communities offensive gamers in the direction of mid field and accurate before the different crew kicks the ball, they'll step in the direction of mid field making the offensive participant offside. you won't be able to be offside on your own 0.5 of the field. i am hoping I expained that nicely sufficient, i visit't draw a image the following.

When the center snaps the ball to the quarterback...the opposing line (or anyone on that team) cannot cross the line of scrimmage (where the play begins at) PRIOR to that ball being snapped!
Hope that explains it for you!
