Nothing works on Injuries and deep gashes and wounds and scars better then CALENDULA either in mother tincture or CALENDULA OINTMENT. It is made out of the flowering plant MARIGOLD which is a time old remedy to heal and fill up wounds and gashes and it does not leaves a scar behind .
Take care and God Bless you

No, I don't think so...the reason is this. The processing is different between oils used for cooking/food and that for cosmetics. I think the best thing to use for scars is the cosmetic grade vitamin E oil/gel. You can also use pure essential oil of lavender. This is know for it's skin healing properties. You could even get some Vitamin E oil and put a few drops of lavender in it.

Rather than purchase the vegatable oil, because it may be in your Vit E, just poke your Vit E tablet and sqeese Vit E onto the scar. Recommended by plastic surgeons.

no. vitamin e itself comes as an oil. but cooking oil itself has no healing properties. definitely start doing vitamin e oil treatments on the scar. also, cocoa butter is supposed to be a good treament for restoring skin (i.e., stretch marks, cellulite) so it maybe would work on scars.
i havent tried this but i've seen commercials for an OTC medicine that's specifically supposed to reduce the appearance of scars. you should be able to find it or something like it in your local drug store. good luck!

There is a new product on the market that I have seen for healing scars. I'm sorry I don't know the name of it but, it looks worth checking into at your local drugstore.

Also, Pure Cocoa Butter is great for healing scars. You have to use it regularly but you will definetely see a difference.

Hope this helps!

there is a drug called topomax that fades old scars... that is not its primary use....its primary use is for migraines.. its secondary use is as a mood stabilizer...

i reccommend the vitamin E over plain vegetable oil...

i believe there is an over the counter product called Maderma or something like that ...it helps reduce scars

Not as well as cocao or che butter. vitamin E is also a good bet especially in combination with either of the 2 butters mentioned,

No, it's the Vitamin E in the Vitamin E capsule that does the work.
