Gore shouldn't run anymore. We shouldn't even hold elections anymore after the last two fiascos.
After the first win by lack of chads. I noticed that the Republicans were winning elections in all of the electorate states. Sure enough, they pulled the same thing. Unless we deal with this electorate issue, as if women and minorities do not know how to vote with integrity; people will always be able to rig elections. They never readdressed that law.
The electoral college mechanism has not lacked for critics over the years. The basic objection is that the system clearly has the potential to frustrate the popular will in the selection of a president and a vice president. Because of the aggregation of electoral votes by state, it is possible that a candidate might win the most popular votes but lose in the electoral college voting. This happened in 1824 (when the election was thrown into the House), in 1876 (when there were disputed electors from several states), and in 1888. The winner-take-all system literally means that the candidate team that wins most of the popular votes (the plurality vote winner) in a particular state gets all of the electoral votes in that state, and the loser gets none, even if the loss is by a slim popular-vote margin. Thus a candidate who fails to carry a particular state receives not a single electoral vote in that state for the popular votes received. Since presidential elections are won by electoral-not popular-votes, it is the electoral vote tally that election-night viewers watch for and that tells the tale.

No-- I don't think in this day and age that if you fail getting elected president, you should try again. It may have worked years ago, but with all the bad blood that gets going during the election process, too much baggage is around to make another go of it.
Look even now on yahoo answers how much people "bag" on Gore. That was 7 years ago

I do; I do! He is sooo lousy in sooo many ways that whoever the Republicans put up, Gore will LOSE again.
The 2000 election wasn't bought, wasn't stolen like you people continue to whine about. It was WON! Every liberal organization in the country, including the ACLU, counted and re-counted the Florida votes and Bush won every time. When they then included the absentee ballots, Bush won overwhelmingly! So, boo-hoo! Go eat some more of your sour grapes and think about that!

I don't think that Gore should run for President again, but I think he will. I would not vote for him. He has been working on a lot of projects like his television station and movie. I have heard that he has more money than he did before, but I don't think that you can buy the presidency.

Absolutely Al Gore should run for president. This would guarantee another loss for the Democrats, who seem hell bent on allowing the left wing fringe to ruin their party. Perhaps another Al Gore loss would make them wake up to their self destructive behavior.

The election was fixed, there's no doubt about it. Always remember the (first election) Florida fiasco where votes were ignored. And it helped that Bush had friends in high places who were expected him to run their personal agendas.
I think that the U.S. needs some new blood to run the country. Perhaps someone whose less likely to pi$$ off so many people, including terrorists.

I dont think we need a president. If we had to pick one, I would have to say Ralph Nader, he's the only one trying to make some good out of this country.

I don't think the 2000 election was stolen.
If Gore has the desire he should go out there and run. If people want him, they will back him. If not, not. But at least he'll know (and we'll know) what people think.
