okay i said I like black guys & i'm black. How is that racist? I was called racist. I don't get it. How come if a girl of another race were to say she only liked black guys? No one would call her racist. I don't get it. Please explain to me. I'm not trying to offend anyone. I'm trying to find how that makes me racist.

You are not a racist for indicating that you prefer Black Men. So people have certain criteria for their sexual pleasures and or dating. If the phrase was related to friends, or something else it would and could be considered racist.

You're not racist. I happen to like girls with red hair. I guess that makes me.. hairist?

The funny thing is, the majority of the white girls I have met that only want to date black guys like to call every other white girl that doesn't date black guys, a racist. So, it seems you can be very selective *only* if you exclusively date someone of a different race than yourself.

Anyway... You aren't racist, and any reasonable human wouldn't think you were.

I don't see that as being racist. You prefer to stay within your ethnicity is all. So what? As long as you don't do this because you think everyone else is inferior to you, you're not being racist. Now to turn this on you a bit. Do you think it's racist if whites only date whites, or asians only date asians? Your answer to that question may determine if you really are being racist or not.
BTW you didn't offend me at all. Don't worry about the ones who are offended by your question. They are not worth your time.

Thats not in the least bit racist. Its just stating a personal preference. People tend to throw the term racist out too often.

Just be yourself, enjoy what you like and don't let the idiots bother you.

Some people feel that if you would never date someone outside of your race, then you are a racist. However, I think that if you treat all people equally, regardless of their race, then you are not a racist, regardless of the fact that you are attracted to them or not.

I don't think you're a racist. If you are attracted to, and want to date, white, black, tall short, whatever, that's different from judging people based on race.

In my opinion you are not at all racist.
They mix things together that are very different.
Being racist is looking down on the other race, considering them less human or hating them.
What your preferences are on the romantic or sexual level are not things you choose.
That would mean that every guy who prefers blonde's hates brunettes.
Let them think what they want.I too have racial preferences on the romantic/sexual front.
It's just biology, like with everything in sexuality it's not all reason.

i don't think you wanting a black guy was racist (i have a weakness for chocolate myself),

...but it could be that whoever said that was referring to the use of the word "mulatto". that's the only thing i can think of that may have pushed her buttons. i know several bi-racial people that resent that term greatly, and are very adamant about the use of that word.

i don't necessarily agree with whoever said that, because racist is a strong word to toss around, and you weren't being racist, but... i don't know.

YOU'RE NOT!!!! RELAX :-))

I think she was just upset cos you rejected her!

If you said that you won't be friends with White's or give them a job, or that Blacks are superior you ARE racist..

But you have a right to be attracted to who you like...I only date Cowboys..!! But I don't have anything against other professions..and I'm sure it is the same with you.

We have a right to be attracted to you we are attracted to..It is only natural to fancy certain kinds of people!!
