My sister is 17 and was having a C-section done tommorow. She just went into labor with her kid ( I'm adopting it!!!!) What's a way to be calm in another's labor? I think its going to be very painful for her and things, with her being so young. We think it is a girl, but we could be surprised!!!! LOL!!! I will be here for a long time because they told me not to come until they make sure ( what the heck???????????????) but they said we'll check her out because they don't think she went into labor ( well their not sure) but who knows. I want to go now but I have to wait until my babysitter 15 year old Kelli gets here to watch my kids. Thanks 4 the help!!

Take a deep breath.....relax! Wait until your babysitter gets there and GO. Why wait? I know I wouldn't!

it's possible that the doctor can still make a c-section (just want to tell you that i had a c-section and its very painful afterwards - so don't feel that bad for your sis- delivery is probably more painful - i don't know the feeling, I didn't go through it, but at least when it's over it's over) (and tell your sister to be careful next time not to get pregnant if she isn't ready to raise a child!)
Good Luck with the adopting!

Take a deep breath. Your sister is about to do the hard part of expanding your family. Just be there for her. Labor hurts, but it never lasts for more than 36 hours. Be supportive and breath deep and think about the new baby.

I just got to say what a very nice thing to do for your sister. I mean that is GREAT and you should know that. Stay calm...give her support. It's going to be hard for her but atleast she can she her child through you. Just be calm. They have to check out the baby and also she the baby is being adopted...they have to make sure the mother doesn't change her mind. STAY CALM.

best thing i can tell you is to be strong help her with her breathing exercise it'll come both of you.. that's how my mom help me to calm down and push a 8 pound baby boy out naturally in 2 hours. with no medicine or stiches. but u said she having a c-section i think she'll be fine threw out the labor its after the labor that the pain comes. we'll that's all i know from experience i guess i was lucky !!! how everything comes out fine God Bless!!! YAY!! I'm so excited for you!! It sounds like either the time has come or will be coming soon! Best of luck with your new baby!!
It might help to rub her back and feet and tell her what a good job she's doing. OR...just do the things that you wish someone had done or you when you were in labor.
Congrats!

no she'll be fine. A c-section is less painful than having the baby natural, but the healing process for the c-section is much slower. C-section are very planned out, and it only takes about 15 minutes

This is such an exciting time for you ! Just breath...and think about when you get to hold that new baby in your arms.
I had a C-section It was not that bad. I was nervous but I did not have a bit of pain until after. But the drugs helped that :).....Congrats on the new little one he or she will be here soon !!!

just tell her itll be ok and be there for her if you can they may want you to wait the reasoning is that they dont wanna get everyone all hyped up about thebaby and her canal is too small for the baby to come through anyway. but i would go when your 15 yr old gets there and jsut see if they'll let you in to at least see her. good luck!!

My mom was in her late 15's when she had me by C-Section ... just calm down, because as the saying goes "You don't know child-birth if you've done it Cesaerean" .. so that means obviously that its not as painful as the real deal.

childbirth takes care of itself. If she does have a C-section, no fear. The medical staff is well able to handle that in the hospital.
As for you. Get some sleep and be there to support her. You are both going to need each other. Congratualtions to both of you.
