I have dark brown hair and my mom always used to say that green or red prom dress would greatly compliment it and I agree! I recently bought this beautiful wedding gown styled white dress, not too big or puffy, but slim and straight, and I love it. It would do as a great dress for any occasion and it fits great, but what about for prom? Would a white wedding dress be too formal for a prom, and even though it looks great on me, is it good to go with colours that I know others have recomended? Would a white wedding dress seem too hopeful? This might be a little early for prom, but I would like to resolve this question before I decide to spend lots of money on a new and different dress! Thankya!

Why not ? I used to wear a wedding dress to the student refectory. I received alot of positive comments :-))

A wedding dress is great, unique and different, and you will be the 'Belle of the Ball' :-))

Why wear it only once in your life time?

I was recently shopping for a wedding dress, getting married in Oct., and this girl was trying on actually wedding gowns to wear to her prom. The mom wasn't thrilled and wasn't going to get a wedding gown for her but was just humoring her and letting her try them on. I asked her 'If you wear a wedding dress to your prom, what are you going to wear to your wedding?" She didn't have an answer for me.

If the dress isn't too formal then I say go for it but if it is formal I would recommend getting something a little more promish and fun! It's up to you really. You want to be comfortable.

If you have already bought the dress, I would suggest wearing a short jacket, scarf or shawl of a bright color with it. In this way it will be evident that it is not being used as a wedding dress for this occasion. Wearing the wedding gown by itself might give the impression you fear.

No, u should save the white dress for ur wedding, it's too much for a prom. Go with what ur mom used 2 say: a red or green one.
Have fun!!

I woudn't wear white to prom. I think an all-white dress should be left for your wedding date in the future. Buy a fun colorful dress instead!
And for accessories, shop at Breezy Beach Wear. They have tons of colorful accessories!

i does no longer placed on that to a wedding ceremony. And it honestly isn't acceptable for a teenager to placed on to the promenade. many faculties have gown codes for his or her proms, and that i do not imagine that one may be allowed. purchase some thing extra acceptable for the promenade.
