Don't get excited...I'm writing a paper on types of casino fraud and need to understand how this could be done. I am not going to use this info to commit a crime!

Casino owner gives ill-gotten money to "patron".
Patron loses the money at a casino game.
Casino books money as legitimate profit.

I would guess that it is something about what you win at a casino cannot be traced and if you say to the police that you the money you just got are won at a casino, and the casino can confirm it the money are legal... So just gamble for the money, and the amout you win is laundered.... But I am not sure if this is how it works....

At the hotel that the casino is in their should be a dry cleaning and laundry service. Try secreting the illicit notes in the pockets of your trousers and sending them to be cleaned. You may have to use the iron in your room to flatten them out after-wards.
