Tell me what you guys think. Does it matter to you who asks who to marry them? Do you prefer the traditional guy asks girl or the spontaneous girl asks guy out? And why...C'mon let's work for these 10 points huh?

If you love someone enough to spend the rest of your life with them, it shouldn't matter who asked who. It's a simple question. Often times the question seems to matter more than the answer. This shouldn't be one of those.

I asked my husband. We were going out for about 3 months and he gave me the most outlandish compliment. In response I asked him to marry me - it was out of my mouth before I even realized I had thought it. He said next year and 3 months later he asked me. Anyway, it doesn't really matter as long you both want to get married and know it unless one is ultra romantic and wants a romantic proposal. Why, because you are both adults, both have a right to answer yes or no and both have a stake in your future together. I guess if one person is insecure or the other may say they were trapped into marriage at a later date, but take responsibility for yourself in that case. If you don't know the person you want to ask well enough to know their feelings on this then you are not ready to pop the question or have the question popped on you.l

it really shouldnt matter but my personal preference is the tradition cuz that way the dude can demonstrate the fact that he can take initiative. you never exactly had a case we're the girl in shining armor saves the prince from the dragon or whatever, it's always been the other way around. but im not trying to say that the girl's always a damsel in distress who can do nothing but wait to be saved or swept off her feet by some studly knight. popping the question before your female counterpart does wonders to a man's pride

It doesn't matter either way. I'm sure most women would say it HAS to be the man. These are the same women who complain about equal rights. There is nothing wrong with a women asking the question.

I think the person in love who wants to marry should be the one who asks.

well it is more proper for the guy, because he is usually the one that wants the girl. but it is okay if the girl asks the guy. there is nothing wrong with it.
