Vampirism is a psychological malfunction. It's not like in the movies. Some people can even become addicted to drinking blood.

There is a type of "vampire" called an Energy Vampire. This term is used to describe peopler who tend to "suck" the energy out of you. You know, a friend who ALWAYS has a bad day, someone who never let's you celebrate w/out trying to bring you down.

As fas as "blood" vampires, that is questionable. There are some people who believe themselves to be vampires and actually drink human blood. Do they get burned from holy water or sleep upside down or turn into bats? No.

You must remember, everything has an origin. Even if it started with some guy's imagaination, there was SOMETHING he experienced that made him imagine vampires.

No, Vlad Dracul, he was an "evil" and bloodthirsty man. But he wasn't a vampire in the stereotypical sense. And Elizabeth of Bathory was a real woman in Hungarian history who believed bathing in the blood of vigin women would keep her young. These could be called vampires, but it really depends on your definition of the word "vampire"

Well, Vlad Drucul was real. He was a Rumanian prince who *to frighten off invading armies* used to impale living people on spikes surrounding the castle. He figured the sounds of the screaming or the sight of the bodies themselves would cause them to retreat*. That earned him the moniker Vlad the Impaler Vlad is the inspiration for Dracula. Now, Vlad was one sick puppy, but I don't believe there's any evidence proving he drank blood or turned into a bat, wolf, mist..blah blah blah.

But is there such a thing as vampires. Nope. I mean I LOVE playing Vampire: The Masqarade *Clan Toreador representing!!*, but after the game is over I don't seriously concider myself a fanged bloodsucker.

Note: There IS a medical condition that makes people think they are vampires. Truth!! Symptons include fear of sunlight *something in the blood and skin pigmentation. Victims also can't tolerate garlic or similarly acidic types of food and seasoning.*

*Sigh* Yes vampires are real. No we aren't the horrible mosters fiction claims we should be, nor are we the seductive alluring creatures others claim.

Some of us do drink blood, others don't. I've never bet anyone who's undead, we're living beings just like you. Do a bit of research, there are two readily accepted types of vampires and a couple more that the verdict is out on, for some.

Yes, but they would not attack like they do in the films, they do not want the humans on their backs. I have known a few people that claimed to be vampires, but let's face it, they would not want my blood. It is unstable, and not Type O. They mostly want Type O blood.

Vampyres are real! I am one. I have "lived" for 1500 yrs. I don't drink blood, not because I can't, but I feed instead on your mental, spiritual and emotional energy. I also feed on souls.

NO!!!!!! Only Satanist people believe in dark magic and try to be powerful, but their is only one ANTICHRIST who will have power and the people who follow him and obey him will be his slaves and they will be tormented and their souls will be taken by the Prince of Darkness. You can only be saved by the Blood of the Lamb, So fear not their is time to be saved, do it now before it is to late.

I say no. These people with creepy storys saying they've been bitten are just kooks trying to either mess with your brain or make themselves feel cool. (No offense you guys, I've definitely been there before.)
