If you don't know the person or recognize the e-mail, as being one you have opened in the past. I wouldn't open it. Otherwise, if that's not the case, you have two other possibilities, the person who sent the e-mail, has their date and time wrong on there computer. Or someone from the future has sent you an e-mail.

The time & date stamp on an email message is determined by either the sending computer or the mail server that originally rec'd the outgoing message.
If you were to set your computer's data ahead, any messages sent from a mail client (Outlook, OE, Thunderbird, etc.) will have that date and/or time.
Web-based email (Yahoo, Hotmail, GMail, etc..) will not be affected as they will use the time from the server.

The server which sent the email had to have the date set to the future..If it were me I would be very wary of it,delete it then scan your system for viruses if you opened it

Whoever sent you the email should have there computer check.
There date on there computer is set wrong.
When an Email is sent it sets the date based on the computer clock and computer.

You can spoof dates of e-mails by altering the date on the e-mail server (which can be a home computer).
Yes be wary of it, if you don't know who it came from it's probably spam.

the person who sent this email to you (likely from Outlook like client, not a web mailer), has their clock all messed up on their local machine.

Are they in a distinct usa so the time zone is distinct? i don't understand. it is the only ingredient i am going to imagine of. perchance you're purely living contained in the previous! Or them contained in the destiny!
