I currently have Juno as my primary Internet Server however I would also like to add another one on, localnet.com. Once before I tried to do that and my computer got all fouled up. Had to have a computer tech come in and do something with conflicting drivers. How can I avoid this problem. Would it be better if I set up the 2nd server by a CD disc rather than downloading from the Net. Any suggestions very appreciated.

I would like to keep Juno until I see if I like the 2nd ISP.

Just to clarify, Localnet.com and Juno are not Internet Servers. They are Internet Service Providers (ISPs)

Internet Servers are actual computer that provide webhosting and serviecs on the Internet. Like www.yahoo.com, there are "Internet server(s)" providing web services (for site, www.yahoo.com)

The CD installation are conflicting both services by overwriting each other setting. You might have to create and setup each ISP services manually into your computer. I do not know how they could conflict each other when both utilize the same hardware equipment on your computer (your modem) unless they create virtual modems (which is unlikely).

Since you are a novice, I would recommend checking with a tech who could configure both ISP services into your computer

sorry, I thought you were trying to set up two websites from your home computer. two options, partition your hard drive, and install windows xp (or whatever os you are using on both) this creates a "dual boot", then install xp on the second primary partition, on boot up you will have to select which one you want to use. Then, you can test the second isp on the second boot up of windows.

The second option, don't discontinue the first isp yet, but uninstall it and install the new one. If you don't like the second one, uninstall it and install the first again.

You need two phone lines, and two computers that can access the internet.
