At £1.99 a square metre its not worth buying.

You need to know if the 13x13 is metres or feet.
Other people have already given you the answers though.
A room 13 metres by 13 metres would be huge.... are you putting carpet in an hotel? If so the £1.99 stuff would need replacing very frequently!

Thirteen foot wide - four metres, is the standard room width for UK houses. So your room is 4 x 4 metres = 16 metres at a very cheap £1.99 = £32. But I'd fit laminate flooring rather than carpet, anyday. Carpet holds dirt, and dust mites, laminate feels cool in hot summers, and cleans easily, and is available from just £4 a metre. Also, you can buy a couple of packs a week till you're ready to fit it.

Why are you even bothering with the maths. Any carpet that only coctc £1.99 per square metre really isn't worth having. Save up for something of better quality. Anything under £4.99 per meter won't last more than a year or so.

Assuming your measurements are in metres then it would cost £336.31. This is based on the room being 13 metres by 13 metres which is 169 square metres then you multiply the area by the cost per metre which is £336.31.

Assuming 13 x 13 is feet
13feet = 4 metres
4 x 4 = 16
16 X 1.99 = £31.84
Should have been a maths teacher!!!

No but i can tell you that my living room is 11ft x 21ft and i brought a new carpet the other month and that cost me about £170 and that was £4.99 per square metre. But that didnt include underlay, fitting, delivery, glue or door bars.

=169 m^2
cost of carpet = 1.99x169
= 336.31 pounds
