my emachine model T2895,won't come on,power is ok,what do I check first & how?

If it doesn't "come on" and "power is ok" (i.e. there are lights on your tower that come on when you hit the power button), then check monitor connections and power to your monitor.

If "power is ok" means that your outlet works but your computer doesn't, then you may need to start breaking it down. if you can, check the power supply (it's inside the case). There's usually a fan that turns on when power is on. If not, you may want to try a different power supply if you have one available. If that all checks out (and you've checked all of the plugs), then your motherboard may be going (or gone).
