Yes. Some of us just have a high metabolism and its hard to gain weight. Ive been like that my whole life. I'll gain maybe a pound or two every couple of years. You are a little thin for your height. Try to add 500 calories to what you currently eat. In 1 week that equals 3500 calories which equal 1 pound of weight. If you add the extra 500/day you could gain a pound a week.

You may have a high metabolism. Stress from hearing about your weight isn't helping either. You need to ask your parents if they want you to get an eating disorder by getting you to obsses about your weight. You are under weight, but probably haven't filled out your womanly curves yet. If you would like to add some calories to your diet, try drinking Ensure Nutional Drinks. Tastes like thick chocolate milk, very good, but they are about 600 calories. I use a free program on the internet called fitday.com
This shows you the weight you should way and the caloies of the foods that will help you to gain weight slowly. Also include your activites such as excercise or sports, it's free and a good way to really see what it take to keep your body the way you want to.

Some people have more active Thyroid (?) glands, this isn't necassarily an illness. I believe this type of human is refered to in sports lingo as an 'Ectomorph'.
I am a male. 20 yrs old. 5' 10" tall and weigh just under 8.5 stone, I do enough exercise, eat very healthily e.t.c. e.t.c. It is just the way some people are! You should find it easy to biuld/tone muscles also - so good for you, all the other girls are just jealous!
And your mum would start moaning about you putting on weight if you ever did - you can never keep parents happy!
(I also have food allergies which make me thinner, as I don't absorb nutrients from food properly - I was always thin before this developed though!)

If the weight loss is erratic or you feel weak, have changes in menstrual cycle etc, go to the doctor for a full blood-work check-up. The doctor can give you an idea of a healthy menu for you, depending on the results, any allergies, etc. If you are active but eat little this is normal, but it sounds like you're not the anorexic type which is wonderful! And don't do the McFries thing, that's not healthy at all.

Check with you Dr. as someone else suggested you may have a thyroid problem or maybe you just have an extreamly high metabolic rate. You burn food faster than most. If you want to gain a few pounds eat what you've been eating and add a protein shake two or three times a day.

You could have hypothyroidism or anorexia nervosa. You could just have a high metabolism so that's why you don't get fat. If yuo have no other health problems besides this then there is nothing wrong. To slow down your metabolism you could eat a whole lot very often but I don't think that's healthy. Go see a doctor and if nothing is wrong with you tell your parents and whoever else has a problem with it to back off!

I would probably see a real doctor. It may be something that only a doctor can lead you in the right direction. It will also help with your parents, and the fact that you are actually trying to gain weight. -Best Of Luck!

You are on the thin side of the scale...I'd say 130-135 lbs would fill you in, however, I'd say your metabolism is in high gear and as you get older and it slows down , so long as your eating healthy, the weight will catch up to you...once you reach your 40's..you'll probably fill in perfectly and be the envy of your age group...in the mean time just enjoy life as it is.

You should talk to your doctor about the right weight for you. SEX IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!! Your parents love you and to a point you should listen to them. If you are really active(sports etc.) it will be hard to gain weight. Eat good take vitamins if your docotr says so and live your life to the fullest.

As long as you are eating healthy and have activity in your life, you should be okay. BUT if the weight loss is a sudden thing, then see your doctor to rule out anything bad.
