I loved the movie! So polished and clean and mostly original cast. Rosario Dawson was awesome (hey I just made a poem)

I ADORE Rent. I really love the stage version, but I didn't really like the movie. After being a fan almost since the show originally opened on Broadway in 1996 and seeing it ten times, I was kind of nervous for the movie. I was sure it couldn't possibly be as energetic and moving as the play.

The movie wasn't as bad as it could have been - a few years earlier there was a script buzzing around the Rent community that not only cut out most of the songs but involved JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE starring as Mark - but I was still very disappointed. The movie is a very mediocre one, and - with a story that original and good - it could have [and should have] been an amazing one. The only saving grace of the movie, I feel, is the cast - deciding to get almost the entire original Broadway cast of the movie was a very good decison!

Whoa, sorry, I think I get on a bit of a tangent when Rent is the topic. :D I really hope you get the chance to see Rent on stage, but the movie is definitely also worth seeing it. I don't love it, but its still an amazing story.

Loved Rent the movie, I'm also addicted to the sound track. I'd probably do just about anything to get tickets to the play!

I loved RENT. I've seen both, the broadway and the movie.
There's more songs in the broadway. I love the movie, because I can watch it whenever I want. The broadway show was amazing too, except the actor who played Angel sucked at my showing.
