I love Dashboard Confessional. I think Chris has such a soothing voice, and his lyrics are incomparable to any other. I enjoy listening to every one of their songs, and I never get sick of them. I can really relate to them sometimes, and that's what i think makes you like an artist that much better. Lyrics=thought; thought=quality.

I'd have to say Glenn Danzig simply because he has done everything and he has done it right. he's the original frontman for the original horror-punk band The Misfits.
and if you've heard Danzid 1-4 you should know about his sonwriting ability, he is truly a genius.
His vocals are the best in the music industry.
And his "Do It Yourself" mentality has done nothing but make him a better musician overall
And Bjork is the female version of Danzig.

Dave Matthews Band and Jack Johnson. Love their music, vioces and the lyrics.

I have"Many" favorites!!! But, I'll name a few of both: Female: Joss Stone, Alicia Keys, Stevie Nicks,, ( these ladies, are multi-talented) not only do they write alot of their own music, they write for other people too.. And that Alicia Keys, plays, and writes not only her piano music, but, her lyrics, as well as Stevie Nicks, of Fleetwood Mac. In fact Stevie broke, "Solo", awhile back,, And when she did, she did not want to leave her "Fellow-Band" members, "high & dry", So, she started writing for herself & Fleetwood Mac, so they wouldn't go broke, what a kind hearted woman she is!! And soooooo, talented!!! For my favorite male Artists: Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding (passed-away,now), CCR, Creedance Clear Revival....Elton John, I love everything Elton & Stevie have done, their both such Multi-Talented Artists, of all time!!! Hooray, for both of those two gentlemen!! Bravo!!! Elicia falls right in their catagories, as well. I really have alot of Respect & Admiration, for those Artists, who have multiple talents, especially when they not only write & sing their own songs, but when they write & play their own music, as well, those types, should have a whole catagory of their own!!! Hooray & Bravo, for all you Wonderful, Awesomely Blessed Entertainers!! Who have come into all our homes, and made us just "Fall in Love, with your work!!!"

Muddy Waters because he was responsible for so many artists today and he was excellent with a slide on the electric guitar

I am torn between Melissa Etheridge and Jewel. I love them both mostly because you can feel them in their songs. They write their own lyrics from their own life. Their songs are so powerful and intimate. Also, many of their songs relate so well with my own life. You just can't beat that.

Mine is Ralph Stanley.. because he plays the banjo.. (I'm learning..) and he sings really well (even now that he's an old man) and I love the wise lessons his songs teach us!

I like Disturbed. I love Dave Draiman's voice. I feel good when I listen to them.
