shoo the wasps away and then burn the nest with your cigarette lighter or match stick.

Also spray an insecticide on that location so that they don't come back a re-build a new one.

Early in the morning, when it's cooler and the wasps are still "at home" in their nest, I zap the entire nest with a jet-spray type wasp killer. That way, in addition to getting the nest out of there, I also can kill lots of wasps at the same time. Raid makes a spray that works. That's if I can reach the nest with the spray. If the nest is too high for the spray to reach, I get a really long stick or pole and knock it down and spray it while on the ground or smash it.

Wait until it gets dark, then burn it out, or spray with a pesticide. The wasp's return to the nest at night. They will not leave the nest after dark unless it is really disturbed.

Get a professional to handle it. It costs money but getting rid of a nest or attempting to kill it is hazardous and dangerous.

I did this last week. I used high pressure water to knock the nest down then I stomped them dead.
