I was dismissed from a job interview because I refused to sign a contract to pay for my own urine test? The Texas Workforce Commission says I was free to work for that company or quit whichever was my preference.

Well, if the job paid well enough, I would pay the $50. But if it wasnt a job that I would want to do as a career, then F'em and go some place else. Never heard of paying to take a drug test. I thought the business would pay for that. But if they are paying you a good chunk of change a year, I would do it!

I've never heard of that. I would think that most companies that do drug tests would pay for it themselves as part of the screening process.
