I'm not just asking about Harry Potter type stuff. But, for instance, the magic that's in the smile that someone gives you when you're having a bad day. One that instantly makes you feel better.

ohhh boy do I! I'm a big BIG believer.. I dabble in Wicca.. have an herb garden and luv to make up spells (yeah and they are LUV spells.. I'm always getting dire warnings from other witches about the evils of casting 'baddies..' on my brethren.) I think fyi too Harry Potter's a real hoot! (I mean good by that.) So clever! always admire something well done as HP. I think there is magic all around us.. some people call it 'God'.. (I call it 'magic..' but perhaps it is one and the same? of course it is!) I think we've got 'karma'.. I am glad you've good karma (as you mentioned being warmed when someone smiles at you.. very charming.)

That smile thing was incredibly cheesy. I believe in something similar but would never call it magic.

yes, definitely.
someone can always tell if you're having a rough day.. someone across the room.. they catch your eye, hold your gaze, and smile.. almost as if they're telling you things will get better.. and you find yourself smiling back..
