Dollar Tree tests have even been found more accurate than some expensive tests. But with a Dollar Tree test, it's a cartridge test. Your urine must be collected seperately and an enclosed applicator used to apply it to the test. There are three types of tests: strip, cartridge, and midstream. If you order tests online, it's usually around $ .35 for a strip, $1 for a cartridge, and $3.00 for a midstream (what most of the expensive tests are). Price doesn't make it more or less accurate. A higher cost test pays for pretty packaging and the brand name. Hey, trademarks are expensive.

No. I bought a test from the dollar store and it showed that I was pregnant right when I took it. I think people just buy the higher ones because theyre ashamed to go into a dollar store. I dont have lots of money so I buy what I can afford. And its just as good.

I bought my test for $4.00 at the family dollar store and it gave me an accurate positive test in seconds and later that day my doctor confirmed it was right. I wouldn't spend lots of money on those high price tests when the cheap ones work just as good.

No there isn't. It costs just pennies to make HPT's. the only difference might be the level of hormone it takes for the test to determine accuracy. Check out www.peeonastick.com, they discuss the differences between pregnancy tests and dollar store tests are part of their examples.

put it this way, if you buy a cheap one and it tells you an answer that you don't like, are you going to go out and buy a more expensive one? My guess is that you would. Or, if it were me, I'd end up buying the more expensive one anyway no matter what it said. So basically I would have just wasted $5 on the cheap one.
PS. Since when are they $25? I spend $13 for mine.

I have never used a dollar store one, but I never use the most expensive ones, ither. There is no differance in terms of accuracy, and all you are going to do is pee on it anyways, so I go with the knock off brands.

Look. Go to wal-mart and get a test for about $10. Clear Blue Easy, and so on are not as expensive as you may think. I tried a Dollar Tree test before (actually tried twice to make sure 1st one wasn't a dud) and they both said no. I wasn't convinced as I had had 3 other babies & pretty much knew the signs. I left and went to wal-mart and got a First Response for $8.97 and as soon as the pee hit the stick it was positive. Yeah.....I would advise you NOT to go buy the $1 test.

I got mine from the dollar tree cause I didn't have 20 dollars to spend on a test and it came out in 1 min that I was pregnant.I'm now 9 months. So I say there is no difference.

I wouldn't buy the ones at dollar general or the $25 ones. Find a good one in the middle. Like first response or clear blue easy. They r like $8-$15.

No difference at all. Sometimes the dollar store ones are even more sensitive than the more expensive ones. Especially the one's at Dollar Tree.
