If you are willing to drive across the bridges and into Torrance (yes, Torrance)...a friend turned me on to one of my favorite restaurants in all of So Cal, hands down. Very delicious El Pollo Inka in South Torrance on Hawthorne has live music Fridays and Saturdays...the food is wonderful and totally affordable and they are quick to serve...the drinks (if you are not a teetotaler) are unique and delicious...and the rolls...you will ask for more. The food is authentic and the people are friendly. If you have kids, they will be fine. If it is just you and a significant other, though not the most cozily romantic spot in the world, the ambiance is very unique. Someone put a lot of thought into the interior of this restaurant. I hope wherever you decide to go, try El Pollo Inka at some point.

there's this restaurant called el Rocoto on 1356 W Artesia Blvd, Gardena. hope that helps its out of the way but the food there is awesome.
