Your problem may not be the sink. It may be the drainage pipes in your yard. My mom had slow drains and they found a burst pipe in the front yard.

The water even in both sides indicates that it is not a problem with your garbage disposal or dishwasher (if you have one) because it drains into your garbage disposal. You're clog is either in the trap below the disposal or the pipe running down from there. Either way you must take the trap off and often times your lucky and just have to clean it out. If not, then snake the pipe line going down from there.

We had this prob. We had a plumber come and he figured out that our sink and laundry drain into the same pipe into the basement. The pipe eventually got clogged with lint from the laundry. So they had to snake it out down there and it has been fine since. Apparently the plumbers who installed the piping did not clean the cut pipe pieces properly and so there were little pieces hanging out around the inside of the pipe and that allowed the lint to grab onto and eventually build up into a clogged mess.
So I would call a plumber...I know that stinks but when all the other measures fail it's time to call in a pro. Good luck with it!!!

Been there/done that - the clog is deeeep in the pipes - you have to call the plumber w/ the high pressure water buster treatment. sorry - it's caused by poor drainage of the garbage disposer. I stopped using mine for anything larger than just small food scraps off the plates. EVERYTHING else goes into the trash can. THEN treat your pipes to a hot water and vinegar flush once a month. Good luck.

do you have a garbage disposal? Does it seem to work? Mine went out and caused drainage to be REALLY slow. Had to have it replaced. Roto- Rooter said NEVER use drain-o- it apparently ruins your pipes?? Garbage disposals are pretty simplet o replace yourself though (save $$$)

what you need to do is find drain plug on the outside of your home and remove it and use the snake there.

You could try vinegar and baking soda....I dunno if it would mess with the disposal or not, it shouldn't though....Vinegar and baking soda are excellent for clogged up drains and general cleaning.
