Good question. One that can be argued for quite some time. My vote is for The Hulk. I've seen plenty of Godzilla movies, and read plenty of Hulk comics, unlike some people.

First off... they are roughly equal in strength. Secondly, there is only one scenario where Godzilla could possibly win - that is biting the head off of Hulk - faster than he can pry Zilla's hand or jaw open - which Hulk is strong enough to do.

Hulk has infinite strength. If he has enough time, his upper level of what he can lift just keeps growing and growing. If Godzilla steps on the Hulk, the Hulk can take it.

So imagine you were fighting a fly that you can't swat, can't splat in anyway (can't burn with fire-breath either).... and if you grab him, you've got maybe a few seconds to do something.... tops.

Hulk, on the other hand, can rip his way into Godzilla's anatomy.

Nothing from the Hulk move can be used, as his comic form is much more powerful.

If the hulk was hit at the right angle (which would be very hard), then Godzilla could super-breathe Hulk into orbit, thus causing him to pass out, unless someone gets him. But Hulk probably could withstand the heat, and definitely the force. Still much easier for the Hulk to get in close, pry away layers of lizard flesh.

Hulk Vs Godzilla

I'd say the Hulk.

For all of Godzilla's size and power, anything Godzilla could do to ol' Greenskin would only serve to enrage him, thus increasing ol' Jade Jaws' strength to practically infinite levels.

Step on the Hulk? That would only anger him.
Atomic breath? Again that would only anger the Hulk.

Once the Hulk gets good and angry enough, he can blindside Godzilla, leap to the Big G's head and pound away.

Perhaps Godzilla might survive having his head pounded by the Hulk, but Godzilla could wake up with one humongous headache.

Nothing can stop the Hulk. Godzilla may knock the Hulk back, but he'd keep coming back. Godzilla would eventually wear down. The Hulk beat Giant Man by clawing apart his face. If Godzilla ate the Hulk, he would be torn apart from the inside. The Hulk has incredible regenerative abilities.

Truly? Godzilla would not consider Hulk a threat because of his size, and by dismissing the self-proclaimed "Strongest one there is" Godzilla would seal his fate...

Don't forget, Godzilla AND Hulk are well-known for taking down entire buildings and fleets of helicopters.

In addition, from all appearances, Hulk actually has more intellect than that of Godzilla. This is because with such a foe, the four entities in Banner's mind may unite. Two of these, Banner himself and "Professor" Hulk are rather intelligent, Banner being a scientist and the second being self-explanatory smart, are quite intelligent (the gray "Joe-Fixit" Hulk is also intelligent, though not on the other two's level). Godzilla has shown no signs of such a higher intelligence.

In addition the angrier Hulk gets the stronger Hulk gets. So much so, in fact, it has never been discovered exactly how strong he can get. When confronted with a rouge S.H.E.I.L.D. weapon that also got stronger the more it fought, Hulk and the weapon eventually got so strong the weapon exploded, but Hulk was (apparently) unaffected.

I would be a good battle but since hulk was hit by gamma radiation would that make him invulnerable to Godzilla's most power full attack his breath? is so then hulk would win easy because Godzilla wouldn't care about the hulk till the hulk got made enough to be Strong enough to hurt him and when he did it would be too late for Godzilla

GODZILLA

If you watched G2000, you would have seen that G has the same regenerating power as the hulk. Also, the hulk is not invincible, just darn near it to our weapons. Dogs with the same affliction as bruce were KILLED by the hulk, so it goes to reason that the hulk can be killed. Also, one person said that G's breath would not affect the hulk because of his radiation exposure, but it isn't the radiation that makes godzilla's breath weapon deadly, it's the heat capable of melting tanks that makes his BW deadly. Plus, anyone who has seen G: final wars would know that if godzilla uses his breath with the most power possible, it can literally throw an opponant larger and with more defense than himself into low orbit before destroying him with enough force to cause an energy shockwave to spread from the blast. Godzilla can't be destroyed by something as weak as the hulk, the hulk had to work up some momentum to throw a mere tank top weighing maybe 1 ton, but godzilla weighs something around 14,000 tons, so his tail or foot alone would cost more than the hulk would probably be abkle to lift. And, my closing argument, the hulk would have to get po'd at G before he would turn into the hulk, so what could do that? Being stepped on or roasted could, but then he'd be dead before he could change.

If you all saw the first Avenger movie Hulk would simply kill Godzilla. Also Hulk fought against many giants and brought them down, hulk also fought against foes who has GOD like powers and damn near destroyed them. The Hulk would just rip into Godzilla body and come out of her butt hole... Yes Godzilla is a female.... maybe both.
