Yes, Old Navy would be fine. They have a huge sale right now, too. So would Kohl's, if you have one near you.
Also check out Walmart. If you like Wrangler jeans, they are the cheapest place around. And they have decent polo shirts, striped T-shirts, and plaid button-up collar shirts.
If you dont' mind used, check out Godowill. You can get godo shirts for about $2 each. Just be patient sorting thru the racks.

If you're on a budget, Old Navy is great. They have very reasonable prices.
My only gripe with Old Navy stuff is that it doesn't last. I'm rarely able to wear anything from there for more than a year before it starts falling apart. It's just made a bit cheaply I guess. That's why I shop at their parent company's store, The Gap, now.
But if you're the kind of person who likes to buy new stuff every year (I used to be that way), Old Navy is good.
Check out their website to get an idea of how their prices are.
If not Old Navy, try a Kohl's if there's one near you. They have okay brand names and they're also priced reasonably.

Ok first let me say this...If you are on a budget don't buy anything that you don't need right now (winter clothes) you can get them later. (unless you find a REALLY good deal on them) .
You are right about Old Navy. I do my kids school clothes shopping there too. And even though they are only 6 and 10 I purchased clothes for both of them at the beginning of last school year for around what you are wanting spend. And I got a couple of things for myself too.
Another good place is Goody's. The prices are just as reasonable. Good luck to you.

Old Navy is the bomb! They have great clearance sales, and great quality clothing. Last year I bought five pairs of jeans, a skirt, and 6 tops for $125 off the clearance racks. I have never had a problem with Old Navy clothing falling apart, and I buy the majority of my children's clothing there. The Old Navy clothes always seem to look nicer, longer than the clothes I buy from Mervyns or Kohls.

Honestly, I've had fantastic luck with Target. I bought a bunch of cotton sweaters from them last year and they've lasted beautifully. I bought one colour and the fit was so good that I went back and bought 6 other colours! Great fitting jeans and some more unique shirts. Combine them with Old Navy and I think you'll look great!

Target, Khols, maybe pick up some cheap shirts at Good Will. They do have some cool t's at thrift stores. You usually have to look through a lot of them before you find anything good.

At the nearest outlet stores in your area. They usually are together in a plaza type shopping place. Good luck in your shopping and in school.

I agree with plato's closet and old navy, but in hollister, abercrombie and fitch,
and aeropostale you'll get 2 outfits for your $150.00.
