say for instance that I became a famous politican, celebrity, or say the general manager of a professional football team. Remember this is all hypothetical and I just threw out some big titles. If any of those things ended up becoming true would old friends that I hadn't talked to in years, and people that I didn't get along with ( people I disliked), would they be able to profit from my success??? Like by writing a book that was negative about me....or selling stuff to tabloids?????

keep in mind i'm talking about ordinary people making money off this not people that were already famous.

I would say they probably could , and you would probably higher a lawyer and then you would both be famous.

Yes: absolutely. To take a recent example, the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" is based on a book which people pretty much know was the result of an intern's actual experiences with "Vogue" editor, Anna Wintour.

They do it all the time. So Live good like your famous now and you will suceed. :-) and heck if they can't get the real scoop there going to make it up anyway.
