Home to me is my country, my family, most of all my beautiful, wonderful son and his wife. My home is the state that I live in, we suffered horrible losses after Hurricane Katrina, but we are rebuilding because this is home. It's the land that we own, the town that we live in. Home is that place I go where I am loved and accepted by the people important to me in my life. It's where I go to the pond on our land and spend the afternoon fishing with my five year old nephew and watch the thrill in his eyes when he catches a fish. It's where we have cookouts and parties during the summer with family and friends. Home is Laurel,MS and the USA. and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I like a quote from the movie Garden State. He's talking about how when you grow up, your childhood home loses that home feeling, and you have to go out and find your own. "Maybe that's all a family is...two people who miss the same imaginary place..." Home has that feeling, I think.

hearty mushy stuff aside, you can live in a house but it is not a home. A home is where you live or even go back to that gives you comfort make you feel welcome takes away all your fears and insecurities and you can be your self. It may not be your house but your parents or something like that. It is with people and pets that you love and love you back.
