WHO tells you you are ugly?
And by whose standards is ANYONE UGLY!??
It is wrong to say that LOOKS MATTER and only an ugly person would say they don't!
Some of the people here are very small minded and shallow.
True beauty lies with-in ourselves.
Media tells us how to look and that is WRONG!
They tell us about what GOOD HAIR is, how BIG this or that should be...WE ARE IN FASHION ONLY IF WE WEAR THIS OR THAT LABEL!
WRONG WRONG WRONG!
All these things we came int this world without and we were adorable then as we are NOW...with out all the BOUGHT crap!
Money does not buy good looks, OH sure if you get FIXED UP in a make over...
BUT you are NOT your looks! You are deeper than that!
If you are mean and selfish and a nasty person then your are going to show ugly in all you do. Even a MAKE OVER cannot show true inner beauty if you are mean and nasty you will be ugly inside! No money or surgery can change that.
And some people need to work on the outside because inside is ugly and nasty!

It definately matters if you think you are ugly. The only person who has to feel good about the way you look is you..Why do you think you are ugly? That is the most important thing to figure out.
However, it does not matter if other people think you are ugly if you feel good about yourself. It may seem to matter, but it really doesn't. Infact, if you can learn to feel good about yourself, you wont care about what others think.
Take a pen and paper and write down 20 things you like about yourself.. ask your parents or close friends to do the same.. this will help give you some perspective into what a great person you are.

What you look like matters very little, but how you feel about yourself is very important. Why do you think you are ugly? Everyone looks different to the next person and ideas on what is attractive or not are different for everyone. Assess yourself according to more than your physical appearance - what sort of person are you? Kindness, moral strength, honesty, these are qualities which really make a difference and (although it sounds like a cliche) if you have good qualities you are not ugly.

Don't think that way. Confidence in yourself does wonders. Look at Bill Gates. Not a great looking guy, but brilliant, great sense of humour and a genuinely nice man. Very confident in himself and it shows (more like radiates).
Do the best with what you have. Nice, tailored clothes that suit you can make a world of difference. Ditto for a good haircut. Practice good manners. Become well read on a number of subjects. Trust me, women will find you attractive.

Yes, of course looks matter. Whoever tells you otherwise is probably ugly. The first thing people notice about someone is their looks.

You need to learn to love yourself. If you can't love yourself how are you going to be able to love others, it will also make it harder for others to love you as well. What you need to do is take a close look in the mirror & find something (even if it's something small) that you like about your looks.
Remember we are ALL beautiful in our own way

Hollywood is full of beautiful faces and I probably wouldn't trust half of them. Besides God doesnt look at your outward appearance = He looks at your heart!! Some people have had surgical procedures to make them look better and they still have the same personality and same problems. Here's a good line : " be who you is 'cause if you ain't who you is , then you is who you ain't ".

your probablly not ugly.. of course, people do notice looks first, but personality should be what matters.. why would you want to date someone or be firends with someone thats totally hot, but the have a rotten personality...besides, everybody has insecurities about there looks...no one is completely satisfied with their looks.. its normal to worry about how you look, just dont get all obsessive on us.
