Because that is what this war is costing each American. Those who support the war should put their money where their mouths are! (But we all know these hypocrites would flip-flop and suddenly claim they're against the war.)

Puleez. Welfare can benefit ANY American that happens to be unfortunate enough to lose their job or become incapacitated for some reason (you should be thankful you are more fortunate). Just because there is some abuse does not mean it does not do temporary good for those truly in need. The war however, as admitted by Bush & Co., is not about WMDs anymore because they were not found, but is now supposedly about freeing Iraqis from Saddam and about spreading "democracy." If this is for the Iraqi people and not tax paying Americans, then give me my money back. I do not want my money spreading and creating more terrorists. I want my tax dollars to be spent on cleaner streets, water, air, better roads, schools, social security, etc. NOT to build KFCs, McDonald's, Hilton's, military bases, private oil companies IN IRAQ!!!!

Sounds Great, I'll foot my $900 bucks this year no prob. But hey can i have all of that money back for Welfare, Social Security, The EPA, the NEA and all of that tax money that Vice President Gore and Kerry spent on their campaign?

How about all of that money I spend taking care of the unemployed, there is no better welfare system than finding a job. How about all of that money that we don’t get because we can build no more oil refineries, or drill for oil?

How about the $1 billion dollars that the GAO can’t find, But that is just part of the $3 Billion that President Clinton gave to Haiti.

The list goes on and on and on. So how about you get your $900 because you don’t support the war on terror, and I get my money back from the war I don’t support, the President Lyndon Johnson’s war on poverty. Fighting that one since the 60’s. I bet you that one has cost me more that Iraq ever will.

Only if I can get a refund and a tax exemption for all the social programs and generations of people on welfare that I would prefer not to support. .

$900 that's it? That's small compared to the amount of money we have to pay into the welfare system. I'd gladly pay for a necessary war instead of supporting laziness.
