That no matter what I did he would still love me for who I really am and not what he wishes I could be.

Nothing, and it's NOT because he's so perfect! A wise person once told me "There's no such thing as the 'perfect mate'; there's a mate who has faults you can live with...and who can live with yours." I believe that whole-heartedly. Neither of us is perfect, but we can live with each other's faults and I think that's about the best a person can realistically hope for!
That being said, if I HAD to pick something to change ... I would probably wish him to not have such a quick temper. He's not mean or abusive or anything extreme, he just gets snappy so easily & doesn't realize how crappy it sounds. But we've been together so long (met in 1992, married in 1997) that I can usually defuse it, or let him know he's coming off mean in a way that makes him back down instead of getting madder. He's also quite stubborn, but I've accepted the possibility that the reason that bothers me is because I am too! :-) Also, his politics are RADICALLY different from mine! I'm much more liberal-minded than he is, and sometimes it bothers me, but we can usually talk about issues without getting too heated -- sometimes it bothers me that when election time comes, our votes cancel each other out, but then again, loving & living with someone with different politics teaches us both how to defend our beliefs and agree to disagree with others, which is good. If we agreed with each other on those kinds of issues all the time, neither of us would be as prepared to face the opposition in the real world! :-)
Still, I think of these as "faults I can live with" and I'm glad he can live with mine. There have been a few other issues over the years, but after so long, people either grow apart or grow together, and I guess we've been lucky -- it ain't perfect, but it's close enough.

The only thing I'd change is his ability to say yes to everyone even when he really means no. He's always lending out money even if it's his last $10 bucks which he did the other day now we're broke and he hardly ever gets the money back. Grrr.

I had to accept that no matter how much i loved him and enjoyed being with him as well as a part of his life that he's 21 and he should be motivated towards his future...and i realized i couldn't make him responsible, or self motivated so i had to move on. I dumped him. Its been one of the hardest things i've had to do.

I would make my husband more confident. He's such a talented and intelligent guy and if he just had more confidence then he could get a better job that he would enjoy more.

I would want my sweetie to be less selfish too because that would solve a lot of problems. If they could just put their selves in our shoes I think we would be appreciated a lot more.

Well if I could change one thing about my wife, it would be to make her more human and less plastic blow-up doll.

I would have my wife not be afraid to move away from her mother. I can't take this awful Georgia heat much longer.
