I have not done that, however, I will wait halfway through the cycle to take out dishes that I want to use.

Once I start the cycle I dont add anything... I just wait till the next one

I had children so I wouldn't have to load or unload the dishwasher ever again. Or scrub a toilet. Or mow the yard. Or empty the kitty litter.
