I myself am also from Dudley (notice the capital out of respect). Unfortunately when out and about in other parts of the country I have to say i am from birmingham (no capital) because no-one past stoke has ever heard of dudley. If they have, I GUARANTEE thet every single time I tell them, they have to put on the 'accent' and say duuuuudlaaaaaay. I am so sick of that. Maybe I should say i am from worcester. I think i could pull that off.

I was born in Sutton Coldfield, does that count? But having Scottish parents I pronounce the French word "gite" as zheet and not goit as a Brummie neighbour once did.
