How do married people who are bi ever feel satisfied if they like both genders but they only marry one?

OK, I see. At one point I liked very many many people who were all different races and sexual preferences and cultures, but I always knew I would only choose one, so I can understand what you all mean. I'm sorry if I offended anybody.

I don't understand it either.

Personally, I don't believe there is a TRUE 'bisexual', nor have I seen a 'bisexual' in a married and committed primary relationship with someone of the same sex. If such a commitment exists, most likely it is with the opposite gender.

It seems to me that bisexuals only seek same-sex sex outside of their straight relationships (which is most likely only a beard, anyway).

I believe this to be true of MOST, not all, so-called 'bisexuals'.

Go figure.

Best Wishes!

Well it's simple really, if a bisexual person chooses to marry a man or a women then it's because they love them, and only wants to be with the one they love.

It's the same if anybody get's married (straight, bi, lesbian, or gay) because when you are married you only have a romantic relationship with that one person. You may be attracted to others but you don't act on it. Bisexual people can be satisfied by either sex, they don't have to have both.

It's all about love and being faithful to the one you love.

You may have heard myths about bisexuals so I'll link the site from the Human Rights Campaign about them, please read:

Edit: And of course there are TRUE bisexuals just like there are true everybody else.

A person can like people with both black hair and brown hair and marry a person with black hair. It's the same thing. Sure, there are some things that you may miss being with one gender over the other, but that doesn't really matter. A straight woman could marry a man with green eyes and miss brown-eyed guys, but that's not going to stop her from marrying the guy, it's just something you adjust to.

If you are not bisexual - why should you understand our lifestyle? You've actually touched on one of the issues we have as bisexuals (Although Randy_W and Water Goddess between them've probably beaten me to answering it).

Like everyone else, we commit for love of our partner and we make a conscious effort to suppress acting on our desires for alternative gender relations(hips) out of love and respect for our partner. Much as a "monosexual" person avoids cheating on their partner. That is not to say that all bi-folk are whiter than white - but then are all monosexuals?

There are some who try to live in polyamorous relationships - but it's hard enough to work on a relationship with one other person in it :). However, because these relationships are so unconventional (and as we are all raised with a sense of duality - black, white; good, bad...), they are generally doomed to failure or are reduced to little more than swaps between bonded pairs.

Well some are able to be satisfied with one person. It is very hard though. I would not wish this on anyone.

What makes it harder is that people on both sides think we can choose one over the other like they "choose" to be homosexual.

LOL

Yes I know God made you gay but he made me bisexual. I don't choose to have attractions to both.

Bisexuals can be happy with one person, just like anyone else. & it's not a "lifestyle" choice.
