Hi,

To be honest, you are probably not going to find a job working from home. Any opportunities you find that requires a start up fee or money up front is a scam, don't get sucked in!!

I encourage you to immediately put these jobs out of your mind. Here are some of my tips when looking for a job....

Networking - Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online.

Check your local paper -- In many cases the paper's classified are now online.

Search Smart Online -- If you don't have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com.

Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. This site is jobsearchlog.com
I invite you to check it out and you'll be able to keep track of what you apply for.

Good Luck,

Michael

Look into affiliate marketing, writing ebooks and things of this nature. There are big bucks being made online but they all take work.

The thing is, if you start now and build your business, one day you will be able to do what you want because you did what most won't.

If you wait untill tomorrow to start, you will still be waiting tomorrow to start.

Check out some of the articles on this site and you can get some good ideas. Just make a decision to do it, then do it with all your might.

Your friend is absolutely generalizing, like all men think the same way which is absolutely incorrect. At least, she is not seeing the kind of family-man type of guy, who instead of wanting to raise their children in a day care (with a professional mom) want the kind of woman who wants to be with their children more than anything, and takes better care of them. What I have seen speaking with people that work in day care, and they share a common oppinion, is that lots of those who call themselves professional woman, in reality are not wanting to be a mother. They take the children to a day care because basically are sick of them, or they are a complication in their life, but they find the "get away" under the excuse they have to work. It is a get away, because even in their day off they take the children to the day care, and they drop it as early as they can, and go to pick them up in the absolutely last minute they can, as late as they can especially in children that are younger than 2 or 3 years. After they grow up a little, that are less work, then is when accidentally they start comming minutes before they close, or they get to hang out with her little bit more than what they did when they were younger. In other words, mothers that work, is not always because they have to, is because they don't want to be with their children. Those woman, for a man that is a family man and concerned about how his childrens are raised, that kind of woman is not very well respected or not respected at all, basically a wrong choice as a mother he has done, and now he has just to pay the consequences. It all depends, there are men who abandon their children and mothers too, but I think is incorrect to think that "men" will respect more a professional woman than a stay at home mom, because that's not the case, for the reasons mentioned above.

Purpe Apple... Would you give us some more information on how your friend got that job? I'm interested as well and I believe the person who asked the question would need all the information he can get.

Thank you in advance

A good friend of mine does some part time accounting while her daughter sleeps. She really likes it and it brings in more cash than if she didn't do it at all!
