I think it depends on how many people live in the house and how messy they are. I have only 2 people and we are not messy so I do a good cleaning once a week. If I have company coming over I will clean before the come over. The kitchen in wiped down each time I cook. I also dry the shower walls to prevent build-up.
I guess you can vacuum every day if it needs it.

Mostly everyday but the deep cleaning stuff is about once a week. I divide the house up. One week I deep clean the bathrooms and bedrooms. Then I do the kitchen and livingrooms. Works for me!

I have to clean everyday or I couldn't get the door open to get out or in the house. My kids can throw down. So I have no choice but to slave away in the house.

Pretty much the same answer as everyone else, major cleaning once a week and minor things throughout the week. With 3 boys and a dog, I have too.

I straighten up everyday but do the tub toilet etc once a week - there's only two of us, so I'd probably do it more often if we had more people living in the house.

I do thorough cleaning once a week. I pick up and neaten up daily. Of course it IS easier since the kids grew up and moved out.

I feel like I do nothing BUT clean and it's still half in disarray. lol. We have two small children who are so GREAT at making messes!! I'll give them credit, when it's "clean up time" they pitch in, which is great, and my husband helps out, too, but it just seems like we're always one laundry basket behind, or something like that. *sigh* It's just amazing how effortless it is to let it get dirty versus how much work and constant vigilance it takes to keep it clean! :-)

Well it depends. Everday we clean everything we use and do up after ourselves, nothing is out of place ever. Then every Friday the toilets, windows, floors, dusting, and all that gets done.

i do a little everyday so that when i do my major cleaning once a week, its not so bad. i have two little boys, so can you image what the bathroom would smell like if i didnt?!
