I actually think it may work. Pierce isn't as much of a ball hog as he is made out to be. He can pass, and is pretty good at it, he just never had anyone to pass to. A.I. has great penetration skills, and it may open things up for Paul, and vice a versa, resulting in more points for both of them.
They will get in the play offs, how far they go is a toss up. A.I. seems to want the ball more in the playoffs, and may offset the balance, resulting in more upset for boston.

first, I don't no why the Sixers would trade A.I. to someone in their own division, second, why would he want to go to a team that has no chance at a title for years to come, third, every one said when Weber came to Philly that he would open up the floor for A.I., never happened, to answer your Q, I don't think they would make it very far in the playoffs, Heat, Pistons, Nets, Bulls, Cavs, I wish he would come out west to a contender like the Clips or Nuggets

No I don't think it will work if A.I can't share the ball with Webber.

Boston will make the playoffs, but will not make it past the first round.
A.I. an Pierce... it will work.. but they are no better than a sixth seed.

Yes and if they can get another big man in there...they will have a great chance:
Starting lineup:
West-PG
Iverson-G
Pierce-SF
Gomes-PF
Lafrentz/Olowokandi-C
