Ovulation would be the day that you saw the *first* high temperature. If I am reading what you wrote, that would be 18 July. If you had sex either of the 2 days before that (16-17 July), you would have had an excellent chance of getting pregnant. On 14 July, the chances were pretty low.

In any case, though, if you ovulated on 18 July, either your period is *not* due on 23 July, or you have a *very* short luteal phase (5 days; a *minimum* is 10)--which would make you infertile. Anyway, if your cycles are irregular, there would be no way for you to know when your next period is due!!

I'm also not clear if you are also charting cervical fluid. If you are, then that should tell you when you are ovulating.

What you need to do is to share your chart with a fertility specialist. She/he can look at it and tell you if what I *think* you're saying is what they see.

i need more information. how irregular are your cycles?
with bbt you should have had elevated temperatures around July 9th or 10th. if your temperature never increased you may have just experienced an anovulatory cycle (no ovulation). i would suggest buying ovulation prediction kits (they can be bought in bulk on e-bay VERY inexpensively). you use two kits every day starting at day 12 of your cycle. one test is done about 1:30 in the afternoon. second test is done about 9:30 at night. as soon as the test detects an "LH" surge you know you will ovulate within 48 hours. there are so many things that can effect cervical fluid... rely on the temperature charting and the ovulation prediction kits for a little bit. OH, and if your cycle HAD been a normal cycle with ovulation on the 14th day of your cycle the only days that MAY have gotten you pregnant were the 12th & 14th days... but i'm guessing that you have either not ovulated yet OR had one cycle that you didn't ovulate (don't worry, that happens to EVERY woman from time to time). BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!

Very hard to tell, the only reason I do not trust the bbt is because our bodies can change in temp in a matter of a second for no reason, so tracking your bbt can be very tricky.

don't do evening bbt. Only AM before you get out of bed or drink anything. Always do it the same time. Even if you wake up later on weekends, set your timer to wake up the same time as weekdays so you can your temp and go back to bed.
Everyone is always hotter in the evening.
