It seems to me that they have already made up their mind prior to the debate. So isn’t the floor discussion just a waste of time?

if someone makes an especially good point or speach (a rarity), then the ensuing media attention may spur the voters one way or the other.

Even the most corrupt and cynical politicians still have to pay at least lip service to the peoples' interests.

Floor debate is a complete waste of time. No matter how convincing the arguments, the Republicans will get their legislation approved. Very few Republicans break party lines while many Democrats do. Given the Republican majority, that leaves very little chance for any Democratic legislative victories.

I doubt it. Ever watch the floor debates on TV? With all the empty seats, you have to wonder who the speaker is talking to.

tell me which african countries have advances so far without any kind of troubles.south africa i dont think so.non of them in asia there are a lot of troubles but they do overcome most of them..in southh america some are ok .in autralia is the best.but isee africa going nowhere.too much troubles and more trouble coming
