Yeah, she is amazing. Supposedly, there was going to be a video to go with The Ninth Wave back in 1985. Hounds of Love is an incredible album, but Ninth Wave is a great story. I have my own mental movie when I hear that. Great music for the imagination. And if anyone doubts what a great singer she is, listen to "My Lagan Love" and "Under the Ivy". They're bonus tracks of the remastered version of Hounds of Love. "Under the Ivy" will remind you of being a teenager with your first crush. I bet anyone can relate to it.
Her other albums are great, too, especially Never For Ever and The Dreaming.
By the way, Aerial is also a great album, especially the 2nd disc. Well worth the wait. Now if only they'll remaster her back catalog and put bonus tracks on each one. Wow.

Ariel is one of her worst albums to me, unfortunately, except for 'King of the mountain'. I know that she is contented with family life but 'Bertie' just sounds many a sappy, proud, middle class mother who dotes after her son. In one way, I like her domestic ordinariness at a time when everyone who doesn't have street cred is trying to pretend that they do, and it harks back to new age music of the 70s/80s like Mike Oldfield (and far older types of music before it).
