I used to like rap or something that would be fun to dance to. But recently it's all started to sound the same to me. What rap song gets on your nerves the most? For me it's "Riding Dirty."

wel im a true it hip hop lover, i'm talkin about da old school, tupac, biggie, n.w.a, public enemy, rakim, doug e. fresh, slik rick ............. Today's rap isn't creative anymore, the majority of the songs talk about the same thing sex and money. no one wants to challenge themselves and talk about something new. cuz they r afraid that people won't relate to it and won't but their ablum. The great TUPAC SHAKUR did it and he is a Legend. rap music isn't annoying it's the rap artists that r annoying, the majority just wan't quick money and fame.

True, the most meaningful rap song that has been written in the last 5 years probably Laffy Taffy (sarcastic). Some of them are so far beyond the realm of dumb that they don't even make sense, I've seen more intelligent things scribbled and the wall by my niece. And it does all sound the same, it's all just an excuse to hump each other in front of 100s of people and call it dancing. I mean how does rubbing butts and crotches on each other even qualify as dancing? I didn't realize that standing still behind some one with your hands in the air constituted dancing. Plus all the songs are about either butts, money, or some other material possession invariably but in different words. I also didn't realize that a single set of drums and one person rhyming random words constituted a band or music.

Yup all sounds the same way. 0ccasionally u get a few that are unique like Candy Shop & Just a little Bit by 50 cent. Those have some pretty cool beats but the majority are stale now. I cant tell u which gets on my nerves because when I hear one I dont like I dont bother 2 listen 2 get the title. I just flick the channel. By the way have u noticed that u cant get a decent album out there by any artist that have on more than 5 great songs u like. U have 2 buy a greatest hits or something like that.

Most of the time I like the beats, but then some stupid person starts rapping about useless nonsense like how great he is or how many pairs of prada shoes she owns, and I think it's a bunch of junk. They never have anything good to say and it ends up ruining a song that would have been good to dance to.

Yep. each thing is so commercial and cut back and dry at the instant. there is not greater music video clips on MTV music television for christssake. What occurred to the days while bands like Nirvana and R.E.M ought to get huge with out liberating a selection one single? What occurred to any band could make it huge in the event that they despatched their music to a checklist business agency or MTV? Even the commercial stuff sounded greater effective than this crap. music isn't music from now on.

I like some of it...but I find a lot of it sounds the same and is made by people who are not very talented. I like hip-hop flavored music, but I still need music to actually have some kind of music in it (if that makes any sense)
