In Interrnet Exporer, go to Tools.
Select "Internet Options"
Choose "Delete Cookies"
then choose "Delete Files" yes to all offline content
then choose "Clear History" and then set the history to "0" days.
That should prevent most everyone from seeing where you have been. I do it everytime. When you learn it by rote, it only takes a couple of seconds.

Near the 'Y!' you will find a pencil icon, click on it & select 'clear search history', you are done.

◙ TIP: If you are trying to hide your web travels. Deleting your web history won't do you any good since it can easily be restored. Scroll to the bottom of this message.

1. To clear SINGLE history items. Press CTRL+H to view the history list. Then choose a chronological or alphabetical hierarchy in the View menu (the default is chronological, from most recent to oldest). 2. To clear EVERY history item. Go to Tools > Options and click the "Privacy" tab. Click the + next to "History" to expand it. Just hit the "Clear" button.
