I've been using the ring for over a year now and I love it, but it is not uncomfortable during intercourse. The problem may be that it isn't placed around the cervix properly. Either that or your vaginal canal is short and that is why you have problems with it falling out. I tend to have a problem with it being pushed lower into the canal when I come close to the time of my period, and that can be uncomfortable. Talk with your gyno and see what he/she thinks the problem may be.

Hope you find something that works for you. Thought I would draw your attention to the Fertility Awareness method, since your doctor isn't likely to tell you about it. It's way healthier than birth control pills, it works, and its way cheaper (which is why your doctor isn't going to tell you about it). They do sometimes come loose. It might take some getting use to. If it continues to be uncomfortable go back to your doctor so they can show you how to properly use it.
